Young people's high-tech entrepreneurship is not easy at all, even if they have research and development achievements, market potential cooperation and start-up funds. The University of Macau helps young people turn scientific and technological achievements into business opportunities.
New era of physical examination
"We do general tests in hospitals. Now we have developed a portable testing device, which can make a fast and low-cost test for ordinary citizens outside hospitals, such as schools and nursing homes. There is a large market for future development." Professor Mai Peiran, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed Signal VLSI, University of Macau, said.
"For example, if we want to test for cold germs, we will use a cotton swab to scrape the top of the throat. After the sample is extracted, we will soak it in a special reagent for about 5 to 10 minutes and add the processed reagent. At the end of this step, the manual operation has been completed, and then the machine is used to complete all the sample analysis. A report will come out in about half an hour to an hour. If it is a general test, the cost is very low, and a test may only need a few hundred yuan. I hope to bring this cheap and simple test to the market, so that everyone can benefit. "Dr. Chen Tianlan, founder of Digifluidic Biotech, said.
