Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Macau, currently Director of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal Super-Scale Integrated Circuits (Research), Distinguished Overseas Reviewer of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, recipient of the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Advancement and National Science Exploration Award, IEEE Fellow, RSC Fellow, IET Fellow. awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Macau Government for his scientific contributions, served as senior/associate/guest editor-in-chief of several academic monographs and journals, and published many international authoritative academic papers, which have significant influence in the industry.

Graduated from the National University of Singapore, he is currently the Director of the Microfluidics Laboratory of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal Super-Scale Integrated Circuits at the University of Macau, and was awarded the Distinguished Mentor Award by the Ministry of Education of Singapore, the Invention and Creation Award by Biocrystallization International, and the Innovation Award by Nature Communications Magazine. Awarded more than 10 patents from US, China and Singapore. His long-term research on microfluidic technology innovation and its application in biochemistry, including pipeline microfluidics and digital microfluidics, covers many interdisciplinary disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology and engineering, and has formed certain characteristics and advantages in DNA detection, protein crystallization, cell culture, drug screening and precision medicine.
President / General Manager
Outstanding young entrepreneur in Macau, graduated from the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed Signal Super-Scale Integrated Circuits of the University of Macau with a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2017. Founder and General Manager of Digifluidic, he is mainly responsible for the overall strategic deployment, planning and business development of the company. He has participated in several bioengineering research projects, and has many years of experience in developing digital microfluidic control systems, digital microfluidic chips and microchip-based rapid DNA detection methods, and has many years of practical experience in the medical device in vitro diagnostic industry. He has published several influential papers in several high level international journals in the field of microfluidics.

Graduated from the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal Super-Scale Integrated Circuits of the University of Macau with a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is responsible for software development, hardware development, and talent development of the R&D team of Digifluidic. He has many years of experience in software, algorithm and embedded system development, and has published several papers in the field of microfluidics for a bank data system. He is one of the outstanding representatives of industry-academia-research cooperation between Macau and the Mainland.
